Abstract

Immortelle is perennial bushy plant from the Asteraceae family, growing to a height of 60-70 cm. It is naturally widespread in the Mediterranean countries. Production of the 1 kg of the essential oil requires 700-1000 kg of wet green plant. The high price and high demand for the immortelle essential oil led to the intensive plantation of the species. Intensive plantation requires determination and implementation  of the agrotehnological  measures. The purpose of the experiment was to research the influence of the fertilization on the yield of the wet green plant of the immortelle. In the field experiment immortelle was fertilized with an organic pelleted fertilizer and organic foliar fertilizer. After 70 days long growth time, significantlly better yield (3616 kg/ha) and stem length (48.9 cm) were measured in the group which was fertilized with a combination of the organic pelleted and the organic foliar fertilizer. Lower yield (2664 kg/ha) and stem length (43.0 cm) were measured in the group which was fertilized only with organic pelleted fertilizer and the lowest yield (2431 kg/ha) and stem length (40.5) were measured in the third, not fertilized group.

Keywords: immortelle, organic pelleted fertilizer, organic foliar fertilizer, stem length, yield.
